This week in Disruptive Innovations.....

This past week we were tasked with researching and creating a presentation on Disruptive Innovation. I grouped up with George and Elley which I believe is a killer combination of talents. George is our "Get it done" guy. He completes his assignments the fastest and looks to help the others. I have a pretty decent technical background, which allows me a easier time with some of the nuts and bolts of our work. Elley is a super talented woman who is not only technical, but has a great creative side. Here is what we came up with. After researching disruptive technologies, we decided on battery/energy storage as the innovation that we feel has the best potential to be disruptive. We felt that energy storage just as it relates to electric vehicles was a small enough chunk that we could research it and make our presentation without getting overwhelmed. This led us to Tesla Motors which has been making innovative strides in the electric car market. Overall, disruptive technologies was a really interesting subject for me to research about. I believe that it may have sparked a interest for me that I may continue to research and pursue.
